I say unfortunate because there were a few issues that occured during our stay. I was unfortunate enough to stay July 2nd through July 4th. You would think the front desk would recommend, but we had to find out by luck. The front desk will tell you to purchase pool passes for $25 each! Uhg! Make sure you join Club Sycuan as you will get 10% off all food and drinks. On checkout day (11:00am), you will not have access to the pool after checkout. If you arrive early and your room is not available, no access to the pool. The pool area is only accessible if you have an active room key.
The pool also has a restaurant, but I would stick with food court inside the casino. You can buy a cabana for $150/day! The resort has a food court featuring Hodad's, and Phil's BBQ, a pizza place and Greek food. The sun is intense and tempeatures are 20-30 degress warmer than the coast. The resort has three pools, one for families, a lazy river with inner tubes and an adults only with swim up bar.
Our room (2 queen beds) was clean and bright with a nice view of the mountains. My wife, daughter (14) stayed one night (mid-week) to enjoy the resort amenities.
